North Kingstown RI Golf Courses –  It is a Triple Crown with a Hole in One!

Knowing that the town you

want to live in has the amenities you want close at hand is important.  Golf is a sport held in high reverence in North Kingstown RI real estate.  This sport needs to be right around the corner for most golfers and it is fortuitous that there are four North Kingstown golf courses just outside of Wickford Village that fit the bill.  A private golf course, Quidnessett Country Club, a semi-private golf course, Woodland Greens, and two public golf courses, North Kingstown Golf Course and Rolling Greens Golf Course, as follows:

Quidnessett Country Club is a private golf course located at 950 North Quidnessett Road. The 18-hole Quidnessett course at the Quidnessett Country Club facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island features 6,940 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.4 and it has a slope rating of 128.  Designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, ASGCA.  Renowned also for their banquet facilities, this golf course has breathtaking waterfront Narragansett Bay views.    It is easy to be distracted from the game at hand!  In addition, the Quidnessett country club condominiums are an integral part of the golf course with wonderful waterfront views of Narragansett Bay or of the golf course. Woodland Greens is a semi-private golf course.  The 9-hole Woodland Greens course in North Kingstown, Rhode Island features 3,023 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36 . The course rating is 34.3 and it has a slope rating of 128.  Designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, ASGCA. Located at 655 Old Baptist Road just a couple miles north of Rolling Greens, you can reach the office at 401-294-2872. In addition to the golf course is the surrounding Fairways Condominiums which allow the condo owners to have great views of the golf course or rent a golf cart and play a quick round!

The North Kingstown Golf Course at 615 Callahan Road is an 18-hole golf course facility in North Kingstown, RI and features 6,161 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70 and a 123 slope.  The course rating is 69.3 and it has a slope rating of 123 on rye grass.  Designed by Walter Johnson, the North Kingstown golf course has been opened since 1944.  It also was the site of the 2006 U.S. Open Qualifying tournament  This course is true waterfront North Kingstown and rarely found with a public course.  You can call (401-294-4051) or book your tee times on line.

Rolling Greens is a public golf course. The 9-hole Rolling Greens course at the Rolling Greens golf course facility in North Kingstown, RI features 3,072 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35 . The course rating is 35.0 and it has a slope rating of 113.  It has one water hazard and has many trees which makes it a pleasant play in the heat of the summer!  Located at 1625 Ten Rod Road you can reach them at 401-294-9859.
