Even when I was in banking and doing training in an ethnic community known for their fine Italian food and deep familial roots, people would ask me “Are you Italian?”
Perhaps it has to do with my Western European looks but more so it had to do with the movement and gesturing of the hands that caused them to say it. Did I realize I used my hands so much in quick motions in my work ? Not at all no one told me this item before. Hardly a negative in my business where money was the ‘product’ at hand and watching my hand motions always kept the newbie interested I believe plus it was an attention getter. This is what I do in RI real estate too when showcasing my clients homes!
Well even in real estate the hand thing comes in handy in showing homes and demonstrating the attributes within clients homes. I call it demonstrative!
