East Greenwich Rhode Island Real Estate Market Update

 

23 East Greenwich single family homes have been sold in May 2012 as follows: 

12 homes sold over $400,000

3 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
8 homes sold for under $300,000

 

Home sales were hot last month with a 155% increase over April!  There were 119 East Greenwich homes for sale in May 2012 which was a 10% decrease in homes for sale over the prior month.  The choices of homes in all price ranges are available for serious buyers.  Currently, there are 9 luxury East Greenwich homes for sale over $1 million.

31 homes are Pending in East Greenwich in May awaiting closing. This is almost as large as the prior month which indicates that buyers are out in a big way buying Rhode Island real estate here.

 

East Greenwich has the homes with amenities buyers want and there are many neighborhood choices of interest.  Schools remain a top attraction for living here (East Greenwich being one of the top rated state school systems).  As well as easy commute to Providence and the Wickford Junction train station is a stone’s throw for those commuting to Boston!

 

The historic Main Street in East Greenwich is packed with unique shops and foodie restaurants– it is always worth a meal here.  The marinas and Hill and Harbor area are always a draw also for those looking for a great experience along the waterfront.

In May 2012, the average East Greenwich RI home sold for $449,500, was on the market for 94 days and sold for 93% of list price.

 Whereas the median priced East Greenwich RI home sold for $419,000, was on the market for 41 days and sold for 94% of list price in May 2012.
