Kingston Village Fair – Kingston RI 02881

Saturday May 21st it is a must excursion for the day (9 a.m.- 2p.m.) in the Kingstown Village at 2605 Kingstown Road (Rte. 138), Kingston, RI 02881.  This is a family affair for all ages to enjoy.  Kingston was the original capitol of Rhode Island prior to it being moved to Providence so there is a lot of historic significance remaining here.  Plus the historic homes that line the center of Kingston RI real estate are just amazing.

There is so much going on at the Kingston Village Fair from the Kingston Free Library book sale, Tavern Hall antiques sale, children’s events and activities, fire engine rides, guided historic walking tours, face painting, balloon artists, great home cooked food sales- just love the lemon squares!, Fayerweather craft guild sale of pottery,  and don’t forget the Kingston Hill Gardeners with their plants for sales.

Additionally the famed Kinney Gardens of thousands of blooming azaleas of all varieties will be open to tour.  Mr. Kinney has passed on but he was a legendary notable Kingston grower of many famous azalea varieties of azalea plants.  We salute what wonderful plants he added to all our lives.  So make sure you stop in to the Kinney Garden just around the corner from the Kingston Village Fair on Rte. 108.

This is the closest thing you get to a true home town fair and the weather looks iffy but that is never an issue for the die hardy who come out with their kids, spouses and friends to enjoy this wonderful Kingston Village.  The roots of the fair go back to the 19th century!  It is free, open to all and is an outdoor fair to enjoy.  See you there.  Come to the Kingston Village Fair – Kingston RI 02881- Historic Village in South Kingstown RI.
