Galilee Fishing for a Cause Tournament and Seafood Festival
The DEM and the RI Saltwater Anglers Association will continue the First Annual Galilee fishing for a Cause Tournament and Seafood Festival. It is being held on Sunday September 9th at the port of Galilee. Galilee is an original fishing village within Narragansett RI.
This Galilee fishing tourney is to benefit :
Hasbro Children’s Hospital,
Narragansett Parks and Recreation Financial Aid Program
Jonnycake Center of Peacedale.
Admission for the tournament and festival is FREE.
Come enjoy Rhode Island real estate with all it has to offer in Narragansett. For the fishermen it is the great sport Galilee fishing venues that attract them. For the sun and surf crowd, it is the spectacular Narragansett beaches.
The Galilee fishing for a Cause Tournament and Seafood Festival tournament will celebrate and promote RI’s recreational and commercial fishing industries as well as local seafood.
The Galilee fishing for a Cause Tournament and Seafood Festival will feature local seafood and food vendors, artisans, music and educational exhibits. Activities include a sea creature touch tank, a rock climbing wall and music performances.
On Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Galilee fishing organizers will offer guided tours of a fish processing plant and more.
The tour begins at The Town Dock, Inc. (behind the event site) and ends at Superior Trawl. Galilee Fishing for a Cause Tournament and Seafood Festival.
