Can you believe it is time for the Newport Folk Festival 2013 to happen again July 26-28, 2013!
It is a most memorable time to rock out in Fort Adams State Park surrounded by fabulous Rhode Island coastline, a great park and rocking til you drop bands.
For me this is part of the RI coastal real estate of must do’s…living here and enjoying both the Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival is a gift! Unfortunately, many waited on obtaining tickets for Saturday and Sunday Folk Festival line up and they are sold out. So get creative and rent a boat, talk a friend into swimming Narragansett Bay with you over to it, rent hovercraft…there has to be a way to enjoy this music when it is sold out.
Remember you have the main stage as well as 3 other stages of music to enjoy this weekend. Gates open at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.

We are so proud and lucky to have George Wein’s initiative in starting this music venue in our RI state. I have been drawn to the Folk Festival since I was a kid when big rockin’ names would power the music on. The festival is now a blend of rock, folk, gospel, blues, reggae and more. So much to appreciate for the voracious music lover in just one place.
