A special Christmas Waterfire will be held on December 16th, Friday, starting at 5:30 pm in downtown Providence. An anonymous donor
Providence RI Waterfire
is paying for the 35 braziers to be set up on the water and blazing away for 3 1/2 hours to benefit the Providence Rescue Mission.
Although this Waterfire in Providence is free,
it is asked that all comers bring unwrapped toys, food, clothing to the Providence Rescue Mission representatives that will be at Market Square in Providence. Santa Claus will be making an appearance, carolers, free cookie goodies and free hot chocolate to all who make a donation to the Mission’s efforts which is so important to help people within the Providence area. This is a RI real estate happening at its best so come and participate.
The lighting of Waterfire will run along the water from the Citizens Bank building down to College Street Bridge.
It will be a truly magical evening with music wafting through the air and a great mood to enjoy our Capitol city in full regale. What a great benefit to enjoy with the family- and it is all free. Just do not forget to bring a small or large donation for the Providence Rescue Mission! Hope to see you there…
