North Kingstown RI 02852, the neighbors all wait for the decorating Christmas king to make his magic on the front lawn of his home every year. I have shared the Halloween displays that draw a few hundred people to his door continuously but he doesn’t stop there. Oh, I am referring to my neighbor, Roland Desjarlais, who is a master of front lawn display magic and makes the Christmas holidays sparkle in this neighborhood of Mount View in North Kingstown.
Now he has been creating these fantastic viewing Christmas displays for years. For a man who is a senior in all respects except his giddiness in pleasing all those around him with his Santa charms, light and character displays of the Christmas season. This front lawn on Narragansett Street is not to be missed for the next few weeks after 5 p.m. when you can see the lights ablaze on his front lawn.
Again year after year this front lawn extravaganza grows and grows as he discovers more unique items to add to his Christmas medley of sights. And if you think the front lawn is something one would be amazed by the inside of his home which he artfully decorates with real finesse. Now his wife, the lovely Jeanette, just sits back and says I let him take over because it is his thing to do and I just watch and enjoy.
Talk about a man with zip and vigor before I knew it he was up on the roof replacing something that had been blown off by the strong Northeast wind off the water here on Narragansett Bay. They definitely have an amazing location with the waterfront at their backs to show off this Christmas show.
