Saturdays and where do I go…to the Winter Coastal Growers’ Market -Lafayette Mill-640 Ten Rod Road North Kingstown RI 02852 from 10 am to 1 pm to enjoy the heavenly produce, wares, good food and exceptional entertainment. There is nothing like a great Farmers Market and this one is no exception- it pleases the palate, senses and what else would you like!?
People who know me know that I am a huge supporter of buying local and supporting all local businesses so coming to our own home town winter coastal growers farmers market is just part of following my path…but I would like you to explore it and follow it too…you will not be disappointed. Now these producers are called ‘Class A’ vendors at the winter coastal growers market because they make everything sold here. As they will tell you “it’s local, fresh and fabulous” so do I need to say anymore…I’ve already piqued your interest and desire to head right on down there.
But wait!! It is only on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm at the Lafayette Mill at 640 Ten Rod Road address in North Kingstown. The signs are a plentiful and head on in the side drive and enter on the lower level in the rear of the Lafayette Mill.
They have inside picnic tables too so you can sit, eat the delicious treats sold & sip your coffee all the while having great entertainment to make your Saturday morning visit well worth it. I could not resist buying fresh arugula and homemade goat cheese with cranberries on this outing… Oh, and i tried some of that homemade eggnog ice cream that was so delicious…I’ll be back next week to try more delectable treats. Bevan Linsley is the market master and she is obviously doing a great job orchestrating this venue along with all the vendors for the North Kingstown community and beyond.

In my former life I was a participant in the South Kingstown Farmers Market when I had an organic mini farm, Lacey Farm, and did that besides my corporate job for about 13 years. Working the gardens and growing soulful home greens can be a huge stress reliever…it got me to glowing and growing into the world of real estate too.
Come on out every Saturday through April 23rd (except for Christmas & New Year’s Day when they will be closed) to enjoy this Farmer’s Market. In May they relocate for the summer/fall season to Casey Farm and I’ll explore that in another blog.
